Ruck-A-Chucky Bar Campground
Five primitive campsites are located on the north side of the river on the Placer County side.
Ruck-A-Chucky Bar Campground is one of the few campsites in the Auburn State Recreation Area that welcome your favorite furry friend. Featuring five primitive campsites located on the north side of the river, you can take your pet for a dip, go fishing, or swim at any time! Be aware that vehicles with high clearance are strongly recommended and that the road can be closed during inclement weather. Plan your camping trip here on the beautiful American River!

From Highway 80 exit at Foresthill Road going towards Foresthill turn right onto Drivers Flat Road, a 2.5 mile dirt road down to the site and river.
